The Lavenham Literary Festival is an organisation run entirely by volunteers which celebrates the joy of reading and encourages a love of the written and spoken word. It has been running since 2009 and has grown into a highly regarded biennial event, with the popular Lavenham Literary Festival Dinner taking place annually.

It brings together well regarded authors to introduce their work, in a friendly and relaxed environment in various venues around Lavenham, with the village hall being the main stage.

Attracting audiences from East Anglia and further afield, the festival gives people the opportunity to discover both established and emerging writers, against the backdrop of our beautiful medieval village of Lavenham.
With thanks
Our sincere thanks to all our wonderful volunteers who are so vital in helping us deliver the festival and to the Friends of Lavenham Library for providing tea, coffee and cakes over the festival weekend.

We are fortunate to have a full complement of committee members at the moment but we are always keen to hear from new volunteers either as potential future committee members or to support our delivery of future festivals. If you are interested in volunteering please contact us using the email below or via our Contact page.
